ATY Project's

aims and objectives...

 

 

Aims:

Recognising the potential and fostering the abilities and skills of Year 11-12 students from all over Australia, and particularly of those from remote areas.

bulletRemediating the effects of geographical isolation and social dislocation.
bulletEncouraging artistic leadership of young people in their communities.

Recognising and integrating the important resources in the National Capital.

Celebrating young people's achievement across all involved areas.

Giving the participating students an opportunity to be a part of a national network of creative and innovative young people, and thus developing their sense of social belonging, competence, and achievement.

Enhancing the image of Canberra as the nation's mentoring centre, and its dynamic role in intellectual and artistic life of Australia.

Enhancing the image of Australian youth, often branded with negative social issues, such as juvenile crime and suicide, drug addiction and delinquency, and road fatalities.
   
 

Objectives:

Providing support and encouragement through mentorship and practical sessions.

Acknowledgement of hard work and determination.
Creating opportunities for further education and employment.
Providing an inspiration for Australian youth to strive towards fulfilment of their potential.
Providing national exposure for participating students and mentors.
